Admittedly the S/S 2027 season we just returned home from was rather monotone. Looking back on the past weeks spent in the fashion capitals, the brown, beige and greige tailoring in starting to blend into each other already, with some exceptions at Pitti Uomo in Florence (DSM kei ninomiya and Simone Roche), Milan (Prada and Paul Smith) and Paris (Dior, Dries Van Noten and Celine), who all added some needed élan to the schedule, it’s worth more and more looking at smaller brands to quench the thirst for some excitement. Something we at ACHTUNG have had in our DNA from the start, as we’ve always believed a good editorial or fashion-story should always be a mix of classics and rule-breaking youngsters, having earned us the occasional e-mail by brand PRs reminding us of certain full-look-policies. Mixing Issey Miyake with Vautrait and Egonlab is something right up our alley, beautifully done by stylist Johanna Rill in this new editorial photographed by Kaj Lehner.
