Givenchy is a brand, which generally has little traction in the German market. Under Riccardo Tisci things started to pick up steam with his last collections but Clare Waight Keller’s couture focused approach fell flat with German speaking customers. Berlin is a street wear and street style capital and labels like Balenciaga are booming here in the shops. With his first collection for the house, Matthew M. Williams paid homage to all his predecessors at the house. And of course added his own metal hardware laced and denim washed signatures culminating in devil’s horn leather caps.
