On bustling city streets, photographer Magnus Lechner encountered a young woman whose striking look immediately captured his attention. Their chance meeting and subsequent conversation sparked a creative ignition. Together with Arzu Kücük, Lechner conceived the idea of portraying various individuals from the “Tik Tok Generation,” highlighting unique beauty elements through their distinct styles. To further contextualize this beauty story, we posed questions to our models about beauty, their generation, and happiness. With vivid colors, bold eyes, and precise answers, the “Generation Tik Tok” project illuminates the essence of a confident generation.

Malou: The best thing about my generation is that I always find new things to learn. Topics that are interesting. For some, it‘s makeup, social media, etc. I get the most inspiration from ideas. I don‘t have to copy anyone to feel beautiful or funny. Everyone should implement their ideas and try new things. After all, you only live once. That‘s why you should have fun with it. Of course, only when you have done work. You should never take the easy route. You should always put 101% into yourself and your work and only then can you treat yourself to fun. The structure is very important because without it, everything will turn upside down at some point and you have to start from zero.
