ACHTUNG: How did you get to Berlin?

Nikita: I got here by car. It was five-day road trip through half of Europe.

ACHTUNG: Why Berlin?

Nikita: Because it is a city where everyone can find a place, whoever you are, without feeling disadvantaged by society. It is a very special city.

ACHTUNG: What did you do in Ukraine?

Nikita: I have been working in the restaurant business for the last ten years and worked my way up from assistant cook in a seasonal café on the coast to the manager and art director of one of the best restaurants in Ukraine, the Birk in Odesa. Also, I worked as a DJ for the past three years.

ACHTUNG: Where do you go to find hope?

Nikita: I only find hope in the fact that the nightmare cannot last forever. We need to build up our strength and just get through it.
