Der Berliner Salon defines German fashion’s status quo

As of today, Berlin is drowning in fashion noise. A PR agency festival, a branding agency new talent prize, an ambitious culture senator eager for a profile and yes, really, fashion designers. MBFW is starting today with a promising show by Dries Van Noten alumni Florentina Leitner at Kraftwerk but the back bone of it all is Der Berliner Salon. An initiative which brings together a group of serious designers who represent the status quo of German fashion in 2021. Odeeh, stealing the show of this video with the best look, Detlev Diehm, a bespoke tailor from Munich who brought along our Puma collab for the cover of Sepp Football Fashion, getting better and better Munich label Horror Vacui, established brands like Lala Berlin, always great William Fan and some new names like Julia Leifert all feature in this video and photo shoot creative directed by Christiane Arp, former Vogue editor in chief and fairy godmother of German design. Here is an exclusive preview and more in depth coverage of Germany’s new fashion voices in our next issue.
