Kors Cru 1981

When fine wine, jet set clothes and Old World glamour meet

Nestled in Schozach, in the heart of the historical region of Württemberg, the vineyard Graf von Bentzel-Sturmfeder stands for exceptional German wine. The Counts and winemakers Kilian and Katharina von Bentzel-Sturmfeder invited influencer Lena Lademann for a tasting weekend and Achtung brought along the new MICHAEL Michael Kors collection for Fall 2022. Lena took her cozy knits and supple leather bags on horses and motorcycles to explore the vineyards, which were in the middle of the 2022 Cru harvest. Of course, she mashed some grapes as well.

For the festive dinner with her hosts, Lena brought out classic tailoring and had fun with the ancient knight’s armor and swords on display in Graf von Bentzel-Sturmfeder’s tasting room. The Count was very partial to the chunky knits in the men’s collection. Burgundy, charcoal, black and soft pink and orange are the perfect match for the greens and reds of the grapes and leaves. Here the private jets, helicopters and yachts which usually anchor the brand’s DNA globally are replaced with castles, horses and classic motorcycles in the German countryside, where an earthy kind of jet set is celebrated by the centuries-old, aristocratic families who own these lands and vineyards. Here is a visual toast to the Kors Cru 1981.
