Admittedly, there haven’t been many Maria Grazia Chiuri Fendi shows, but we are fans of her new direction. While her Fendi premiere seemed heavily MGC-for-Dior-coded, S/S 2027 brought a freshness, sexiness and a welcome enlargement of her color palette beyond black. Well, non-colors: the beiges, greiges, browns and a little light blue from the denim pants.

Fantastic sheer numbers, as seen on German models and A50 listers Malin Rudnick and Karolina Spakowski. Lots of triangular necklines and barely any roundedness in the shapes and silhouettes ensured the necessary edge to balance all this softer femininity, with plenty of fuzzy, furry moments dispersed throughout the collection. After all, this is what the house had – and has – at its core: fur.

Fuzzy, furry Fendi S/S 2027
The true standouts were the men’s looks. One cooler than the next, but our favorite was this flowy yet still tailored black look consisting of a loosely buttoned shirt and wide-legged pants, topped with a rather raw-looking fur jacket of some animal or other.
