Our chief photographer in Berlin Gregor Hohenberg has carved out a niche for himself by merging technically advanced photography – no point, shoot and flash here – with historical metaphors. All his images are in focus, beautifully lit and often reference German mythology. Needless to say he jumped when the assignment of shooting a story at the Schluchsee with the winter season’s most sophisticated looks came up. There is a return of the Bourgeoisie in fashion anchored by brands like Celine and Akris, which our new columnist Manuel Almeida Vergara will document in his piece this Saturday here. Enjoy Hohenberg and stylist Katharina Baresel-Bofinger’s classy take on winter layering and look forward to his cinematic fashion film with an original score by Arash Safaian in a few days.
