When Berlin weather is at its worst, the sky looks like a David Chipperfield concrete building. Time to gear up in another CG finds Berlin creative mind Aino Laberenz.

CG aka Canada Goose is a specialist in keeping professionals in front and behind the camera performing to their best abilities, even in the harshest climates. For more than 25 years their parkas were used on films such as The Day After Tomorrow or on set of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. For six years now the outerwear brand has been collaborating with Berlin’s film elite at Studio Babelsberg. They provided warmth to both cast and crew members on productions like Bridge of Spies and Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel.

Roaming the parks of Berlin with photographer Christian Werner, costume and stage designer Aino Laberenz brought along a small selection of Canada Goose jackets and styled them with her own clothes. Notably, a pair of cool cowboy boots. It’s obvious it was cold when the pictures were taken but Laberenz managed to survive.

There is more than their passion for film that connects Canada Goose to Berlin. “Berlin itself has always had a special place in my heart”, answers CEO Dani Reiss one of Achtung’s questions. “The vibrancy of its people and the importance of art to Berlin’s identity makes it truly one of the world’s most unique cities, always on the cutting edge of culture.”

This special connection is represented at the brand’s new location at the heart of West Berlin’s Kudamm. “The two floor space has been imagined to bring together Canadian and German design details combining the essence of our brand with the creative feel of Berlin,” concludes Reiss.
