Photographer Loic Arnal, who has contributed to ACHTUNG in the past loves a simple concept he can execute en detail. In his last story, he shot models waiting at the bus stop. This time, he felt urged to explore the bond between siblings after not having seen his own brother for a while. It’s truly a strange relationship only someone with siblings can understand. Even the location was made to fit into Loic’s concept: Set in the village La Roche-Guyon, connected to Paris via the Seine taps into the idea of siblings growing up together, some moving out, some staying back. The nuances of maybe not talking for a whole year but then spending family holidays together, sharing clothing, going into each other’s rooms as if time has never passed. Deep connection, sometimes competition, occasional disaffection but always bonded by blood, and in this case also by a simple two-brand Loewe and Issey Miyake styling.
