Albert and Art
Akris creative director Albert Kriemler is at the forefront of the fashion inspired by art movement. Hauser & Wirth gallery in Zurich agrees with a show on Geta Brătescu.
He is an artist now. He is sorely missed in fashion. His name is Helmut Lang and his fashion and art collaborations with Jenny Holzer or Louise Bourgeois are legendary. Lang was among the first to realize this concept.
But also Akris designer Albert Kriemler who just showed a collection with a movie from director Anton Corbijn which revolves around the work of Düsseldorf minimalist and color master Imi Knoebel.
Few years back with a beautiful show in Paris next to the Petit Palais, Akris channeled the influence of Geta Brătescu for its collection. Now Akris tops that by holding a gallery show at Hauser & Wirth in Zurich for which they hand picked works from Geta Brătescu.
The exhibition will run from October 22nd until November 21st 2020 at Hauser & Wirth in Zürich.
