Gender inequality is a sad fact in the work place while gender bending fashion is anything but
Ever since Demna Gvasalia took his Balenciaga inspirations from office attire, the work place has fashion allure. Women in men’s shirts or with men’s crew cuts and nerdy glasses are very of the moment and look cool. Berlin based photographer Filine Fink feels the same and together with stylist Heike Held she created an arresting fashion story which plays with gender stereotypes and shows some of Berlin’s most interesting designers like William Fan, Vladimir Karaleev and Michael Sontag. The premise of the story is a feminist message: Why are there not more women on boards of big companies? In the parliament? And are paid less than men? What does that mean for a fashion story? See it here.
